So I'm going through a bunch of chapters in Arc 3 and 4 (that's The Stream and The Experiment) and I'm having to do a LOT of editing on them. Looking at them retroactively, I can't help but see how mediocre they are, lol.
Not saying that the story sucks, just that some of the ways I tried to do it is, IMO, lacking. Plus, there's a massive difference between daily chapter structure and print & volume structure.
So yeah, lots of rewrites in those chapters. Which is kind of unfortunate, because I was hoping to release Vol 2 on the 30th of this month. Instead, I'm going to have to space things out by two months. That's just to make sure that I'm able to edit and cut and rewrite large sections of the story, just to make it much more enjoyable to read.
That's the silver lining, I suppose - in the end you'll have a much better product. Much more so than what I had published online a couple of years ago. It's also nice to see this kind of progress, just seeing how the text matures across media.
Also, I apologize for not publishing this update yesterday - been kind of down at the state of things. Having to move really interfered with how popular RoE was getting, and I'm not getting as many reads or views as I'd hoped for SoG. No-one is favoriting or sharing or commenting, and that's kind of frustrating.
It's tough putting one foot in front of the other when there's no engagement of any kind anywhere I put content, and I have to ask myself why I'm doing this in the first place. Anyway, that's greatly demotivated me and I'm finding it difficult keeping my projects in the air.
So much so that I forgot to post this yesterday, lol.
